The annual Cullman County Courthouse Singing Convention was held on the third floor of the Cullman County Courthouse on the second Sunday and Saturday before in July. Henry Guthery brought the Saturday session to order by welcoming everyone and then leading 32t. Bud Oliver offered the morning prayer.

The memorial lesson was conducted. Brenda Merritt read the list of names of those friends and loved ones who have died since the last session of this convention. Those remembered were: Edis Guthrie, Rummon Graves, Alta Baker, Lavaughn Ballinger, M.G. Edwards, Tressie Adkins, Mavery Murphy, Lamar Smith, Donald Smith, Iva Cleghorn, Hazel Denson, Pauline Tyree, Samuel Tyree, Bell Woodard, and Rose Altha Taylor. Harrison Creel led 378 (t? b?) in memory of the deceased.

Eldagene Roberson read the names of the sick and shut-ins. Those on the list were: Ulys Walker, Kenneth Fannin, Wilda Holmes, Charlotte Hinkle, Elsie Moon, Mavis Price, Crystal Crocker, Girstel Nail, Alpha Black, Raymond Walker, Carolyn Denson, Elvin Guthrie, and Elsie Beasley. Bud Oliver led 39b in honor of those remembered and unable to attend. The memorial lesson was closed.
