The twenty-second annual Sacred Harp singing at Oxford City Hall was called to order by Warren Steel leading songs on pages 138b and 171. Mark Davis led the morning prayer, and then led songs on pages 33b and 319. Mark Tew led songs on pages 30t and 53.

The class organized with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Warren Steel; Vice Chairman—Mark Tew; Secretary—John Merritt; Arranging Committee—Lisa Geist and Janet Jenkins.

RECESS

Max Berueffy called the class together leading songs on pages 138t and 336. LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Warren Steel leading song on page 392. Leaders: Brenda Merritt 434, 192; Lisa Geist 327.

A memorial less was held for singers and loved ones departed in the past year. Those remembered were: Elmer Conwill, Arnold Moore, George Cox, Elmo Chrestman, Doris Vickery, Myrtie Dubose, Ethel McGough, William Ryan, and Mr. and Mrs. A.C. McGough. The sick and shut-ins were also remembered, including Nellie Davis and Frances Lee. John Merritt led songs on pages 414 and 294, and closed the memorial with prayer.
