Corinne Serfass called the class back together by leading “Darwells”, from the packet described below. Moravian Music Foundation Executive Director Christopher Ogburn and Associate Director Kyle Johnson delivered a short presentation about the Irving Lowens Collection of historic early American tune books, as well as other items contained in the Music Foundation Archive, and conducted a tour of the archive vault. Following the presentation, songs were called from a packet of four-shape songs put together by Corinne Serfass from tune books in the Irving Lowens Collection. Packet selections are from the following tune books: The Harmonist (1837), The Virginia Sacred Minstrel (1817), The Franklin Harmony (1830), and The Church Harmony (1837).
