The Henagar-Union Sacred Harp Singing Convention was held on the first Sunday and Saturday before in July. The class was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Scott Ivey leading 32t. The morning prayer was offered by Danny Creel. Scott Ivey welcomed the class and visitors, and made announcements.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Shane Brown and Judy Caudle. Shane Brown spoke eloquently about the hope of life everlasting after the resurrection of Christ. He also encouraged the singers, friends, and family to spend time in service to each other during the time spent on this earth.
