Minutes of Sacred Harp Singings

The Ohio Valley Sacred Harp Music Association’s annual Bob Meek Memorial Singing at Harrods Creek Historic Baptist Church, Brownsboro, Kentucky, was held on Saturday before the second Sunday in September. The class was called to order by Tom Morton leading 49t. Tom introduced Buford Parish, the sexton of Harrods Creek Baptist Church, who welcomed all and gave a brief history of the historic church building, which was built in 1810. Tom Morton led 49b. The invocation was given by Zach Davis.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Michelle Cull, who read the sick and shut-ins list, and led 68b. Liz Meitzler Guevara gave the memorial for those who died, and led 122. Carol Russ made some additional comments for the memorial.
