The Shiloh Sacred Harp Singing was held on Saturday before the first Sunday in May at the Shiloh Museum in Springdale, Arkansas. Syd Caldwell called the class to order at 10:00 a.m. Charles Polstle offered the opening prayer. Syd Caldwell and Charles Polstle led 49b and 63.

The class was organized with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Dan Brittain; Vice Chairman/Arranging Committee—Syd Caldwell; Secretary—Alice Moran.

Beverly Coats conducted a class on how to read the shapes of the notes, and the origin of how it got started.

A memorial lesson was held and 122 was sung for the deceased: Lamar Smith, Ruth Brown, Beulah Reese, and Willie Carolyn Denson—Alabama; Mozelle Sheppard, Estelle Flowers, and Barbara DePoy—Georgia; Betty Haas and Ray Bloom—Missouri; Lovena Owen—Texas.

Beverly Coats led 176t for the sick and shut-ins: Reby Stanford, I.V. McWhorter, Nancy Allen, Myrtle Smith, Donnie McGraw, Dorothy Garrison, Loy Garrison, Lois Stanson, Dick Mauldin, Bill Reynolds, Kelly Beard, Ernestine Pipkin, Joyce Walton, Jap Walton, Bobby Jackson, Imogene Bradshaw, Opal Wootten, Thomas Smith, Myrl Jones, Lawson Smith, Alexandra Toombs, William Malloy, Shelly Wallace, and the granddaughter of Leon Ballinger. Becky Browne closed the memorial with prayer.
