This is a new singing that is being held in a church building that has been restored and relocated to Gaither’s Plantation south of Covington, Georgia. The Newton County Historical Society’s Mule Day Folklife Festival is being held concurrently here at Gaither’s Plantation on this day.
Officers for the day are Co-Chairmen Alice West and Charles Woods.
The day of singing began with Alice West leading song on page 59. Hugh McGraw offered the opening prayer.
