The fifty-eighth session of the annual Hopewell Homecoming Sacred Harp singing was called to order at 9:15 a.m. by Terry Hullett leading 129 and 40. Elder Philip Gilmore offered the morning prayer.

Linda Thomas and Elder Philip Gilmore conducted the memorial lesson. Linda Thomas read the names of the deceased which included: Lamar Smith, Dennis Phillips, J.C. Hardin, Ethel Hill Adams, Zelma Harcrow, and Susan McKathan. Elder Philip Gilmore and Linda Thomas led 47b in their memory. Betty Sue Johnson led 143 in memory of Dennis Phillips, son of Calvin and Annie Phillips, who died on March 3, 2004.

Terry Wootten led 369 for the sick and shut-ins which included: Eldora Green Moody, Bill Green, Buefa Green, Martha Woodard, Flora Phillips, Christine Hill, Aubrey Reeves, Bud Oliver, and Ronnie Meadows. Chris Green closed the memorial with prayer.
