The 9th annual Memphis Singing was called to order by Matt Bell welcoming attendees back after a two-year absence and leading 85. Jeff Corbett offered the opening prayer. All song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.

Announcements were made, and the secretary offered a report. Throughout the course of the day, a class of twenty-seven leaders and perhaps twice that many singers had sung sixty-two songs; they represented the states of Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. Matt Bell led 62, as the class took the parting hand. Dalton Green dismissed the meeting with prayer.
