The 13th annual Emory Sacred Harp Singing was called to order by Andy Ditzler leading 569b. Malinda Snow offered the opening prayer. Jesse P. Karlsberg spoke honoring the work of retired Director of the Pitts Theology Library, Pat Graham, establishing and supporting the Emory singing and building archival collections relating to shape note singing. He introduced the new Director, Richard Manly “Bo” Adams, and invited the class to view items on display from the library’s Raymond Hamrick Papers.
RECESS
