The annual Sacred Harp singing at Providence was held on Saturday before the third Sunday in May. The class was called to order by James (Butch) White leading 171. Delone Cobbs offered the opening prayer.

A business session was held and the following officers were retained: Chairman—Butch White; Vice Chairman—Christopher Mann; Secretary—Judy Caudle; Arranging Officer—Nicholas Thompson. Greg Allred addressed the class and presented a motion that the name of the singing be changed to the Kenneth Fannin Memorial and Providence Singing at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church at Providence. The class unanimously agreed, and the motion was passed. The business session was closed.
