Hugh McKenna made closing announcements, during which he thanked all those involved in organizing the day and gave special thanks to the singers who had travelled for the singing. He also expressed gratitude to Mike Morrisroe for providing an introductory lesson for new singers during morning session.
Dermot Peel gave the Secretary’s report, and stated that eighty-two songs had been sung by forty-nine registered singers and thirty-five leaders. Seven countries were represented (Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Norway, Malta, and the US). Dermot also gave the Treasurer’s report, stating that all expenses had been met and that a surplus would be contributed to the Friary to support the brothers in their work in the local community.
Hugh McKenna led 300 as the closing song, and the singing concluded.
