The 10th annual Sacred Harp singing was held at Heights Church of Christ, Houston, Texas, on Saturday before the second Sunday in December (a departure from the normal schedule due to Thanksgiving date). The class was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Crystal Meadows leading 171. The opening prayer was offered by Wade Price.

The class was organized and the following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Barbara Smith; Secretaries—Ron Bernucho, Donna Bing, and Megan Smith. Song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Revision, and the B.F. White Sacred Harp, Cooper Revision.
