The 16th annual Eugene Singing was held in the sanctuary of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on the first Saturday in August. Tom Payne called the class to order at 9:30 a.m. and led 47t. John Dinsmore offered the invocation.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairperson—Karen Stingle; Secretary/Treasurer—Carolyn Flatley-Gilkey; Arranging Committee—Jim Brock and Tom Payne; Memorial Lesson—Steve Helwig; Chaplain—John Dinsmore.

Bob Schinske offered prayer to close the memorial service.

Reports from committees were given. Jim Brock announced that 59 people were registered for the singing, and 88 songs were sung. Carolyn reported that expenses were met. Karen Stingle thanked everyone who made the singing a success. Jean Murphy won the coveted “Wicket placed on high” croquet trophy.

John Dinsmore offered the closing prayer. Karen Stingle led 155 as the closing song, and the class was dismissed.
