The 11th annual session of the Alabama Collegiate Singing was held at the Wesley Foundation Methodist Student Center on the campus of the University of Alabama. Tim Cook welcomed everyone and called the class to order by leading 49t. The morning prayer was offered by Henry Johnson.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Tim Cook; Vice Chairman—Emily Thompson; Secretary—Judy Caudle; Arranging Committee—Carolyn Thompson.

The memorial lesson was conducted by J.L. Hopper and Richard Mauldin. Elder Hopper spoke, and then led 138b and 512 in memory of the following deceased: Milton Oliver, Kim Jenkins, L.H. Gilmore, Mary Smith, Mattie Townsel, Amanda Denson, and Mary Ernestine Deason Thompson—Alabama; Katherine Benefield—Georgia; John Etheridge—Florida; Pauline Childers—Michigan.

Richard Mauldin spoke and led 143 in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Ruth Wyers, Joyce Walton, Harrison Creel, Ann Ballard, Eugene Forbes, Clarence McCool, Peggy Bergman, and Ed Howton. The memorial lesson was closed with prayer offered by Elder J.L. Hopper.


The afternoon session was called to order by Tim Cook leading 277.
