The annual Sacred Harp singing at Cross Roads Baptist Church was held on the first Sunday in July, and was called to order by Miranel Swafford leading song on page 32t. A memorial was held to remember those who have passed away in the last year. Lonnie Rogers led songs on pages 490 and 343 for the following deceased: Mrs. Lillie Eisman from California, Carl Hughes, Mrs. Euzel Wood, Ola Pruitt, Norman Shaddinger, Herman Lambert, Mildred Edwards, and Rev. Leon Cosby. Shelbie Sheppard led song on page 146 for the sick and shut-ins. The memorial was closed with prayer by the pastor of the church, Rev. Hershel Tibbits.
