The annual all day Sacred Harp singing at Poplar Springs Baptist Church was held on the fourth Sunday in May. The class was called to order by Chairman B.M. Smith leading 59. Cecil Roberts offered the morning prayer.

Josephine Denney conducted the memorial lesson. Lonnie Rogers led 348b for the deceased: J.C. Harden, Mozelle Sheppard, Estelle Flowers, Gladys Simmons, Harvey Austin, Irene Willoughby, and Kenneth Simmons.
Hugh McGraw led 340 in honor of the sick and shut-ins: I.V. McWhorter, Bobby Jackson, Alice Edwards, Nancy Allen, Myrtle Smith, Bud Jones, Shelbie Sheppard, Reby Stanford, and Alonzo Edwards. Josephine Denney closed the memorial with prayer.
Randall Ward from Poplar Springs Baptist Church welcomed everyone, and Rev. Junior Jones gave the benediction for lunch.
