The tenth annual Northern Shenandoah Valley All Day Singing was held on Saturday before the second Sunday in June at Grace Episcopal Parish Hall in Berryville, Virginia. The class was called together at 10:00 a.m. by John delRe leading 27. Chaplain Marty DeNys led the opening prayer.

Tom Tucker presented a memorial lesson leading song on page 330b for those who we wished to remember who died in the past year: Ruth Brown and Lavaughn Ballinger—Alabama; Frances Duncan and Allen Henkin—Maryland; James Bludworth—Colorado; Phillip Shea—Massachusetts and Nova Scotia; and Jeannette Hardin and Ruth Brown Turner—Virginia. Cathy Tucker led 70t for the sick and shut-ins: Donald Williard—Maryland; Donald Strube—Virginia; and Richard DeLong—Georgia. Marty DeNys closed the memorial with prayer.

Judy Hauff was recognized as the Honorary Chair and thanked for returning to Berryville ten years after teaching the first singing school here. She said it was like her own personal “Brigadoon” and led 196.

The class took the parting hand as 62 was being sung. Marty DeNys dismissed the class with prayer.
