The annual New Hope Sacred Harp Singing was held on the fourth Sunday June. The class was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by Christopher Mann leading 49t. The opening prayer was offered by Christopher Mann.

The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers and committee members: Chairman—Christopher Mann; Vice Chairman—Butch White; Secretary and Arranging—Amber Mann.

A trustee of the cemetery committee, Keith Williams, gave a financial update on the status of the cemetery, a brief history of the annual singing held at the church building, and thanked the singers for attending. Class was dismissed for lunch and a prayer was offered by Mr. Williams.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Christopher Mann leading 27 (in memory of Buell Cobb) to bring the class together. Leaders: Jim Pate 30t, 31b; Marlin Beasley 77t, 61 (in memory of Juanita Beasley); Joyce White 282, 480; Nancy Lee Brown 274t, 457; Butch White 535; Hazel Heinze 413; Cindy Mann 145b, 47b; Delone Cobbs 369, 388; Susan Allred 56t, 112; Mary Holcombe 354b, 56b; Christopher Mann 512, 354t, 569b. Judy Caudle took the opportunity to remind everyone of the upcoming Camp Fasola and encouraged anyone interested to attend. Announcements were made.

Christopher Mann led 62 as the closing song. Marlin Beasley dismissed the class with prayer.
