The 108th session of the Walker County Sacred Harp Convention was held on the Saturday before the third Sunday in July. The class was called to order by Brenda Chafin leading 31b. Butch White offered the opening prayer. Brenda then led 31t.

The following officers were elected: Chairman—Brenda Chafin; Vice Chairman—Glenn Keeton; Arranging—Amber Davis; Secretary: Linda Booth.

RECESS

Scott Pierce, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, welcomed the class, and offered prayer. Lisa Geist gave a brief talk, outlining seven reasons why singing is important. She then led 472.

The afternoon session began with Glenn Keeton leading 282.
