The annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Hope Church on the fourth Sunday in June was called to order at 9:45 a.m. by James (Butch) White leading 49t. Hubert Nall offered the opening prayer.

In a business session the following officers were elected: Chairman—Anna Grace Sipe; Vice Chairman—Christopher Mann; Secretary—Londa Pate; Arranging Officer—Butch White.

RECESS

The class was called back together by Christopher Mann leading 101t. Leaders: Dick Nail 314, 300; Cindy Mann 159, 127; Nancy Tuck 274t, 335, 445 (for Margie Lee and in memory of Lela Crider); Theresa Westmoreland 200, 268; Buell Cobb 111t, 100; Essie Hollingsworth 480, 318. Ruben Williams gave a report on the cemetery fund. An offering was taken for the cost of the minutes books. Butch White returned thanks before the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Anna Grace Sipe leading 503. Announcements were made. Anna Grace Sipe led 62 as the closing song. Delone Cobbs offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
