The annual Sacred Harp singing held at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in September was called to order by J.L. Hopper leading 31b. The opening prayer was offered by Nicholas Thompson.
The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers to serve: Chairman and Arranging Officer—Nicholas Thompson; Vice Chairman—Rodney Ivey; Secretary—Judy Caudle.
