The 95th session of the Calhoun County Convention met at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, Four Mile Community, between Anniston and Jacksonville, Alabama, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday before the third Sunday in September. Jeff Sheppard called the class to order by leading 36b. Ed Thacker offered the morning prayer. Jeff Sheppard welcomed everyone and led 82t. Pearl Guier led 59 and 32t.

A business session was held with the following officers elected to serve: Chairman—Jeff Sheppard; Vice Chairman—B.M. Smith; Secretary—Judy Caudle; Arranging Committee—Pearl Guier.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Judy Caudle. She read the following names of the deceased: Nora Higginbotham, Mattie Townsel, John Etheridge, Paul King, Jimmie Denney, and Frank Hataway. She read the following names of the sick and shut-ins: Lonnie Rogers, Marvin McElroy, Bud Oliver, Sammie Oliver, S.T. Reed, and Lessie Dean Reed. She led 389. Prayer was offered by Cecil Roberts to close the memorial lesson and bless the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session was called to order by Ed Thacker leading 77t (by request).
