The 34th annual session of the Mountain Heritage Day singing was held in the Outreach Center Gym, Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, North Carolina. The morning session was sung from The Sacred Harp (1991 edition). The class was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by Hugh McGraw leading 32t. Mike Nichols offered the opening prayer, and led 128. Bob Meek led 209. Dr. James Dooley, Emeritus Professor of Music at WCU greeted the singers, remembered the late Dr. Eva Adcock, the founder of the singing, and led 127.
