The annual Sacred Harp singing held at Darien Primitive Baptist Church began at 10:00 a.m. with opening remarks and prayer offered by Bill Thomas. Don Clark then led 59 and 99.

The class organized by electing the following officers: Chairman—Don Clark; Vice Chairman—Gaylon Powell; Secretary—Charlotte Bishop.
