The Coy Putnam Memorial singing was held at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church, Arab, Alabama, on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in October. David Light called the class to order by leading 274t. The morning prayer was offered by Richard Mauldin.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—David Light; Vice Chairman—J.L. Hopper; Secretary—Judy Caudle.

RECESS

David Light brought the class back to order by leading 318. Leaders: J.L. Hopper 374, 76t; Ramona Light 208, 99; Gary Smith 503, 225t; Wilda Holmes 145b; Sarah Smith 73t, 317. J.L. Hopper offered prayer for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with David Light leading 176b and 340. Leaders: Sandra Light 119; Sarah Smith 146; Ramona Light 378b; Gary Smith 73b, 63; Michael Likos 282; Richard Mauldin 358; Marlin Beasley 204; J.L. Hopper 205; J.C. Rutledge 542; Eunice Kimbrell and Rhoda Norris 144; Judy Caudle 348b (for Jack Jordan).

In a business session, the class voted to move this singing to Mt. Oak Methodist Church, Arab, Alabama, for the 2008 session and to rename the singing the Putnam, Light, and King Memorial.

David Light led 62 as the closing song. J.C. Rutledge offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
