The annual Harper Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held at Old Flatwoods Primitive Baptist Church on the second Sunday in October. The class was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Jimmie Gilmore who extended greetings to everyone, and then led 36b. Chairman Joshua Keeton led 30b. Glenn Keeton offered the morning prayer.

Officers for the singing were: Chairman—Joshua Keeton; Vice Chairlady/Secretary—Jimmie Gilmore; Arranging Committee—Arthur Gilmore; Memorial—Jimmie Gilmore.

RECESS

The class resumed singing with Joshua Keeton leading 59. Leaders: Glenn Keeton 378b, 385b, 343; James Wagner 294, 72b, 348b; Pam Gilmore 389, 200.

Jimmie Gilmore conducted the memorial lesson, and led 235 and 382 in memory of the deceased: Gladys Bonds, Sidney McMunn, Ruby McMunn, Kitty Foster, Bruce Randolph, Clearcie Rutledge, Roxie Hart, and all the Harper family. The memorial lesson was closed. James Wagner offered prayer for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session was brought to order by Joshua Keeton leading 285t. Announcements were made. Joshua Keeton extended and invitation to come back here again next year; then led 62 as the closing song while those who wished took the parting hand. Arthur Gilmore offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
