The annual Ivey Memorial Sacred Harp singing was held at Liberty Baptist Church on the first fifth Sunday of the year. The class was called to order by Shane Wootten leading 49t (in memory of Marlon Wootten). Eddie Mash offered the opening prayer.

Karen Rollins spoke and presented the family of Marlon Wootten with a posthumous citation in honor of his lifetime support of Sacred Harp singing and its traditions. Shane Wootten and Wayne Wootten, sons of Marlon and Eloise Wootten, accepted the plaque.
