The 29th session of the Ohio State Sacred Harp Convention was held at German Club Edelweiss, Englewood, Ohio, on the first Saturday in March. Ray Rechenberg called the class to order at 10:00 a.m. leading 34b. The opening prayer was offered by Jim Herr. Ray Rechenberg welcomed the class and made some announcements. The class sang selections from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Shannon Tibbs and Jubal Bayer. The names of the following sick and housebound were read: Greg Creech, Mary Creech, Ed Walton, Beegee Rechenberg, Vic Whisman, Steve Duff, Sue Duff, Michelle Duncan, Claudia Baldwin, Janet Fraembs, Joe Todd, Curtis Cook, and Laura Weber. The following deceased were remembered: Becky Browne—Missouri; Eva Striebeck—Germany; Peter Wilson—New York; Dave Brown—Washington; Len Chandler—California; Pete Sutherland—Vermont and Indiana; Jaime Gans—Indiana; Prudy Duff and Connie Crabtree—Ohio. Shannon Tibbs and Jubal Bayer concluded the memorial lesson by leading 47t. Ray Rechenberg offered prayer.

The final session of singing began with Jubal Bayer leading 48t. The Chairman called for reports from the various committees. The secretary reported sixty-six registered from seven states. There were thirty-two leaders singing sixty-four songs. The Chairman, on behalf of the treasurer, reported that donations made during the convention were sufficient to cover its costs for the use of the hall. The class sang 347 as the closing song, and those who wished took the parting hand. Jim Herr offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
