The annual South Yorkshire All-Day Sacred Harp singing was held at the Wisewood Methodist Church in Sheffield. The class was called to order by Joshua Lant leading 460. Ted Brown offered the opening prayer.

Derek Buckland offered the lesson for the deceased and for the sick and housebound. He read the following list of names of the sick and housebound: Helen Brown, Cath Tyler, Di Elliott, Rike Fischer, Jan Saunt, and Katy Fullilove. Derek spoke about fellowship, considering our care for those prevented from being present, but also for all those with sickness and burden who are at the singing. He stressed the importance of fellowship being inclusive and welcoming, and how Sacred Harp singing provides this kind of fellowship. He spoke about kindness and reflected on how kindness is love with its work boots on.
