The annual Shady Grove Sacred Harp singing was held on the first Sunday in January. The class was called to order by Glenn Keeton leading 46. Tom Booth offered the opening prayer.

The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers to serve: Chairman—Nicholas Thompson; Vice Chairman—Glenn Keeton; Secretary—Roma Rice. Nicholas Thompson made arrangements for the day.
