The Dallas County annual Sacred Harp singing was held at the Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday before the first Sunday in November. The class was called to order by Donna McKay leading 87. Ernie Higginbotham offered the opening prayer.

Rick Foreman presented the memorial lesson. He read names of the sick and shut-ins (Charlotte Powell, Wanda Capps, Chloe Webb, and Leon Ballinger) and names of the deceased who passed since the annual singing last met in 2019 (Sonny Erwin, Stephen Hutchinson, Mack Hargroves, Landis Powell, David Rousseau, Curtis Owen, Tony Burrand, Myrl Jones, Burl Russell, and Dorothy Price—Texas). Rick Foreman led 48t, and closed the memorial lesson with prayer.
