Minutes of Sacred Harp Singings

The 24th annual Lincoln’s Birthday singing was held the second Saturday in February at Ida Noyes Hall, University of Chicago, in conjunction with the University of Chicago Folk Festival. Ginny Landgraf called the class to order at 3:00 p.m. leading 34b. Leaders: Carol Ann Munro 32t; Jim Swanson 106; Ted Mercer 27.

Lisa Grayson was introduced, and taught a brief singing school, leading 278b. After that, there was a more traditional singing, periodically punctuated by explanations of what was going on by experienced singers.
