The annual Sacred Harp singing held in memory of W.A. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Myers, and Elsie Beasley was held at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church on the fourth Sunday in October. The class was called to order by Marlin Beasley leading 32t. The morning prayer was offered by Henry Guthery.
The class organized by electing the following officers to serve: Chairman—Marlin Beasley; Vice Chairman—Richard Mauldin; Secretary—Nora Parker; Arranging Committee—Sarah Smith.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Richard Mauldin and Nora Parker. Richard Mauldin spoke and led 339 in memory of the following deceased: Corene White, Ray Tate, Bill Reynolds, John Etheridge, Frank Hataway, Myra Palmer, Merlie Powell, Paul King, and Ora Lee Calvert. The following sick and shut-ins were honored: Reedie D. Powell, Clarence McCool, Charlotte McCarn, Cecil Sanders, and Uel Freeman. Marlin Beasley offered prayer.
