The annual Decoration Day Sacred Harp singing was held at Old Flatwoods Primitive Baptist Church on the second Sunday in May beginning at 10:00 a.m. The class was greeted and called to order by Arthur Gilmore and Jimmie Gilmore leading 32t and 36b. The morning prayer was offered by Ken Tate.
The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Co-Chairpersons—Arthur Gilmore, Jimmie Gilmore, and Pam Gilmore; Arranging Committee—Arthur Gilmore; Secretary—Jimmie Gilmore.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Jimmie Gilmore, Pam Gilmore, Josh Keeton, and Glenda Wright. They led 68b in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Eugene Forbes, Mary Ann Wilkinson, and Cathryn Bearov.
Jimmie Gilmore spoke for the following deceased: Elder W.G. McGough, Lear McGough, Mamie Harper Noles, Furn Kitchens, Delores Beasley, Brenda Dean, and Milton Oliver—Alabama; Amanda Denson Brady and Myrtle Smith—Georgia. The memorial was closed with prayer offered by Eric Eliason.
