The September Sacred Harp singing held at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chairman Milford Cobbs who welcomed everyone and led songs on pages 46 and 75. Elder J.L. Hopper offered the morning prayer.

After enjoying a bountiful lunch and sweet fellowship, the class was called back to order for the afternoon session by Milford Cobbs leading 381 in memory of Dexter Cobbs. Judy Caudle led 459 in memory of Bera Bradford, and 285t for the sick and shut-ins: Marie Guthrie, Kimmie Holcomb, Herbert Cobbs, Sherrie Guthery, Ella Ruth Chamblee, Omalean Hopper, Edna Cobbs, and Judy Cobbs.
