The annual Sacred Harp singing held at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church on the fourth Sunday in April was called to order by Carmon Brothers leading 59. Chris Green offered the morning prayer. Carmon Brothers led 58.

The class was organized and voted to retain the following officers: Chairman—Carmon Brothers; Vice Chairman—Beecher Yancey; Secretary—Eunice Kimbrell; Arranging Committee—Ruby Brothers.

Carmon Brothers called the class to order leading 354b, 401, and 275 (t? b?). LUNCH

Carmon Brother called the class back to order for the afternoon session with 146. Leaders: Philip Gilmore 30t, 143 (in memory of Drennen Aldridge); Herby Bailey 34b, 49b; Paula Gilmore and Philip Gilmore 39t, 270; Penina Kane 119, 111t; David Light 112; Hershell King 426t; Beecher Yancey 503; Chris Green 153; Judy Caudle 129; Delone Cobbs 155; Nate Green and Norma Green 312b; Willie Mae Moon 400; Jewel Wootten 108t (in memory of Roie Alexander); Debra Ritch 183.

Carmon Brothers announced the decision to discontinue the singing due to health, a difficult choice, but he felt, along with others, that this was the best thing to do. This little group will rejoice from memories felt here throughout the years past, and all appreciate and love Carmon and Ruby Brothers for their love and support for this singing and for Sacred Harp music.

Carmon Brothers and Philip Gilmore led 62 as the closing song. Philip Gilmore offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
