The annual Sacred Harp Memorial Singing for B.I. Wood and Alvis Brothers was held at Pilgrim’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Attalla, Alabama on Saturday before the first Sunday in November. Ron Crocker called the class to order leading 138b. Elder J.L. Hopper offered the morning prayer.

A business session was held, and the class voted to retain the following officers: Chairman—Ron Crocker; Secretary—Gloria Hutchens; Arranging Committee—Ella Ruth Chamblee, Ruby Brothers, and Billie Dean Hornsby.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Ron Crocker leading 49b. Leaders: J.L. Hopper 27; Glenda Hopper 34b, 43; Deborah Ritch 274 (t? b?), 373, 388; Doris Brown, Billie Dean Hornsby, and Gloria Hutchens 399b, 378t, 146, 566.

A memorial lesson was held with Ron Crocker leading 285 (t? b?) and 282 in memory of Alvis Brothers, B.I. Wood, Oma Wood, Enis Walls, Ester Walls Brown, and other deceased. J.L. Hopper led 143 as a special request. Also remembered were the sick and shut-ins which, included Carmon and Ruby Brothers who were unable to attend.

Ron Crocker led 62 as the closing song, Elder J.L. Hopper offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
