The annual Sacred Harp singing at Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church was held on the first Sunday in May. Philip Denney called the class to order leading 36b. Lonnie Rogers offered the morning prayer. Bernard Denney led 59, 40, 339; Lonnie Rogers 186, 112, 225t; and Sheri Taylor 114, 117, 147t.

The class organized for the day with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Bernard Denney; Vice Chairman—Philip Denney; Chaplain—Lonnie Rogers; Arranging Committee—Charlene Wallace; Memorial Committee—Mary L. Smith and Shelbie Sheppard; Secretary—Sheri Taylor.

Mary Smith conducted the memorial lesson. Jeff Sheppard led 405 and 159 in memory of Everette Denney. B.M. Smith led 143 and 348b for the following deceased: Vivian Rogers, Clarence Lambert, Kenneth DeLong, Revy Williamson, Lavaughn Ballinger, George Rogers, Wilford Denney, and Bobby Maxwell.
