The annual Doss Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held on the fourth Sunday in May. The class was called to order by Floyd Screws leading song on page 31b. Tim Whitaker offered the morning prayer.

James Abel, pastor of the church, conducted the memorial lesson. Margaret Aderholt led song on page 319 for the sick and shut-ins: Eleanor Bailey Bobo, Nina Bailey, and F.P. Cargo.

Dick Nail led song on page 445b for the deceased: Kelly Mayfield, Buddy Bailey, Febby Nail, Estelle Screws Powell, Tommy Knox, Mamie Jenkins, Albert Sharit, Clyde Crossfield, Auburn McGraw, Lucille Creel Tolbert, and all of those who died on the battlefields in defense of our country. The memorial was closed.

Brother James Abel welcomed everyone and gave thanks for the noon meal.
