Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers Memorial

The annual Sacred Harp Memorial Singing for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers was held at Ephesus School on the first Sunday in March. Lonnie Rogers called the class to order at 10:00 a.m. leading songs on pages 75 and 101t. Louis Hughes led the morning prayer. John Plunkett led songs on pages 428 and 52b.
Denney Rogers, mayor of Ephesus, welcomed everyone, and extended an invitation to all to stay for a dedication ceremony that was being held immediately after the singing. The new library of Ephesus School was being dedicated in honor of Lonnie and Vivian Rogers.
A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Co-Chairmen—B.M. Smith and Denney Rogers; Secretary—Pearl Guier; Arranging Committee—Mary Florence Smith and Hester Edwards; Memorial Committee—Teenie Moody.
