The annual B.M. Smith Memorial Sacred Harp singing was held on Saturday before the third Sunday in August. The class was called to order by Isaac Green and Karis Askin leading 59. The opening prayer was offered by Matt Hinton. Isaac Green and Karis Askin led 60.

In a business meeting, the following officers and committee members were elected or appointed to serve: Co-chairmen—Isaac Green and Karis Askin; Secretary—Nicholas Thompson; Arranging—Nathan Rees. A motion was made and carried to rename the singing the B.M. Smith and Philip Denney Memorial. The business session was closed.
