The 108th session of the Calhoun County Convention and the 156th session of the Boiling Springs Convention was held at Oak Hill Baptist Church on the second Sunday in November. The class was called together by Cecil Roberts leading 45t and 68b. The morning prayer was offered by Barbara Brooks. Leaders: Bert Collins 63, 97; Barbara Brooks 119, 378b; Glenda Collins 378t, 32t; Karen Rollins 34b, 35; Judy Chambless 29t, 454 (for Virginia Dyer); Robert Chambless 452, 163b; Winfred Kerr 516, 282; Oscar McGuire 515, 77t.


Cecil Roberts called the class back together leading 37b and 76b. Leaders: Bert Collins 542, 335; Barbara Brooks 129, 235; Glenda Collins 81t, 105; Karen Rollins 87 (for Phillip Denney and their Grandfather Denney), 111t; Judy Chambless 501, 549; Robert Chambless 154, 72b; Winfred Kerr 89, 146 (in memory of Rebecca Over); Oscar McGuire 229. Cecil Roberts offered the blessing for the noon meal.


Ann Simpson called the class together leading 47t and 445. Leaders: Bert Collins 399b; Barbara Brooks 303; Glenda Collins 410t; Judy Chambless 40; Robert Chambless 176b.

A business session was held and the following officers elected: Chairman—Cecil Roberts; Vice Chairman—Bert Collins; Secretary—Barbara Brooks. The class of singers has voted to see if the Boiling Springs Convention might be returned to Mt. Zion at Ashland, Alabama. Leaders: Winfred Kerr 225t; Oscar McGuire 503; Ann Simpson 388.

Cecil Roberts, Bert Collins, and Barbara Brooks led 138b as the closing song. The closing prayer was offered by Judy Chambless.
