The 154th annual Sacred Harp singing at Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church near Roopville, Georgia, met on the third Sunday in June. The class was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Karen Rollins leading 32t and welcoming the singers and visitors. Sherry Lovvorn offered the opening prayer.

A short business session was held and the following officers were elected: Chairman-Karen Rollins; Vice Chairman-Philip Denney; Secretary-Denney Rogers. Judy Chambless volunteered to serve as the Arranger.

Philip Denney called the class back to order by leading 40. Oscar and Katy McGuire led 171 and 515. The memorial lesson was held. Karen Rollins read the names that were on the 2019-2020 list and then spoke about Psalms 59:16. She and her siblings, Karleen Williams, Paige Harrod, Sherry Lovvorn, and Denney Rogers, led page 45t (by request) for the following deceased singers and friends: Harry Eskew, Mack Langley, Jerry Cole, Jim Shadinger, Liddia Rogers, Belva Stanaway, Edward White, Robert Ballard, Lewis Davis, David Grant, Agnes Todd, and Rodney McBride—Georgia; Curtis Owen—Texas; Peter Golden—Maine. The following sick and shut-ins were also remembered: Rebecca Over, Judy Henry, Barry Rollins, Coy Ivey, Ed Thacker, Margaret Thacker, and baby Maggie Abrams. Matt Hinton closed the memorial lesson with prayer. Denney Rogers gave the financial report.
