Crossroads Church Memorial Singing

Crossroads Baptist Church, Buchanan, Georgia

Saturday night, November 18, 2017

The Crossroads Church Memorial Singing was held on Saturday evening before the third Sunday in November. The class was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Hayden Arp leading 33b. Cecil Roberts offered the invocation prayer. Hayden Arp delivered a welcome greeting, then led 75.

Leaders: Cecil Roberts 378b, 35; Donna Bell 113 (in memory of her father), 565 (for Sandra Johnson); Glenda Collins and Bert Collins 335, 282.

A business session was held. A letter from the host church was read aloud, informing the class that the July singing must be moved. The class voted to cancel further singings at Crossroads Baptist Church, and to establish the following annual singings beginning in 2018: the November singing will be moved to Saturday evening before the third Sunday in November, 7:00 p.m., at Holly Springs Church in Bremen, Georgia; the July singing will be moved to the third Sunday in July, 9:30 a.m., at Muscadine Methodist Church in Muscadine, Alabama. A motion was accepted to lower the temperature on the thermostat, as the room was too warm. The class voted to keep the same officers. The business session was closed.

Leaders: Richard DeLong 60, 49b; Daniel Williams 42, 74t; Tony Hammock 131t, 267. A collection was received with sufficient funds to submit the minutes for publication, and the remainder will be offered to the host church.

Leaders: Fallon Cook 176t; Rene Greene 186 (in memory of her father, Jeff Sheppard); Rebecca Over 348b (in memory of George Garner); Eschol Hughes 456; Philip Denney 100; Samuel Williams 88t; Winfred Kerr 89; Jason Stanford 47b; Eddie Mash 421; Andy Ditzler 161; David Brodeur 285b; Virginia Dyer 388; Daniel Williams 77b (at the request of his mother, Emma Dean Williams); Hayden Arp 68b (by request, in memory of C.W.
