The singing was called to order by Ray Rechenberg leading 40. A business meeting was held and the following officers and committees were acknowledged: Chairman—Ray Rechenberg; Secretaries—Sheila Patterson and Grace Patterson; Treasurer—Vic Whisman; Chaplain—Jim Herr; Arranging Committee—John Bealle and Michele Cull; Registration—Bonnie Spitzkeit; Memorial Lesson—John delRe. The morning prayer was offered by Jim Herr. Song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition, and a book of John Bayer’s compositions, The Dayton Harmonist (noted as DH).

At this time, John delRe asked for those who wished, to share memories and thoughts of how John and Loraine had influenced them and the Sacred Harp community. After singers shared their memories, John delRe led 32t, and “Vain Prosperity” from The Dayton Harmonist in honor of John and Loraine. Ray Rechenberg then led 30b, and “Surp” from The Dayton Harmonist as the blessing before dinner.

There were seventy-seven songs led, and an estimated 132 people in attendance.
