The annual memorial Sacred Harp singing held at Muscadine Church was called to order by Rene Greene leading 32t. The opening prayer was offered by Hayden Arp.

A business session was held. Rene Greene called for the nomination of new officers. Hayden Arp made a motion that the same officers be retained, which was seconded by Virginia Albright, and unanimously approved. A motion was made by Richard DeLong to change the name of the singing to Albright, Cates, Brown, and Sheppard Memorial to honor the founders of the singing. The motion was passed unanimously. The business meeting was closed.
