The 6th annual Pratt-Woodard Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held at Houston Congregational Church on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in October. Glenn Keeton welcomed the class, and led 34b. The morning prayer was offered by Don Keeton. Glenn Keeton requested that the singing be dedicated to honor Steve Adams.

RECESS

Glenn Keeton led 46 to bring the class together. Leaders: Carol Fannin 145b, 390; Kermit Adams 44, 47b; Larry Ballinger 47t, 56t; Willodean Barton 159, 480, 498; Don Keeton 490, 294.

A business session was held to discuss the future of this singing. Mrs. Stella Pratt spoke and expressed her thanks to the singers, her family, and the community, who had attended and supported the singing. She also explained her inability to continue her support of the singing. The class voted to discontinue the singing. The business session was closed. Richard Mauldin offered a blessing before the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Larry Ballinger leading 109. Following announcements, Stella Pratt, her daughter Hilda, her niece Pam, her granddaughter Kasey, Zula Robinson, and Glenn Keeton led 487 (in memory of T.P. Woodard). Glenn Keeton led 267 as the closing song. Richard Mauldin dismissed the class with prayer.
