The annual Sacred Harp singing at Shady Grove Church, Dutton, Alabama, was held on the first Sunday in May. The class sang 34b and 39t.

Eddie Brown welcomed everyone, and led 77t and 74b. The morning prayer was offered by Bro. Ben Barrentine.

The class was brought back to order by Eddie Brown and Mark Brown leading 48t. The memorial lesson was conducted by Karen Travis and Darlene Dalton. Karen read Bible scripture, First Corinthians 15:42, in memory of the deceased. The list of recently deceased included Marie Ivey, Diane Nelson (Sam Sommers’s sister), and baby James Gaddis. Darlene read scripture, Philippians 1:8-11, in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Earl Bradshaw and Aunt Opal Wooten. They led 309.
