The annual Winston County Sacred Harp Singing Convention was held at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church, and was called to order by John Hyde leading songs on pages 38t and 73t. The morning prayer was led by Harrison Creel. The class was organized for the day with the following officers elected: Chairman—Kermit Adams; Vice Chairman—Travis Keeton; Secretary—Pernie Pelfrey; Arranging Committee—Elmer Conwill. Kermit Adams led songs on pages 46 and 47b.
